We had the egg cutter that has the teeth. It worked amazingly. We needed a replacement and couldn’t find that exact model anymore. We purchased this one instead. We were skeptical, but it’s actually quite easy and works really well. It’s even easier to clean than the other. Just want a YouTube video on how to use it and it’s a sinch

It came with no instructions, but there were plenty of YouTube videos to see how to use it. It took a little getting used to how much to pull the "Cracker" back before letting go. Great results every time. Makes cracking raw eggs a joy with very little (if any) mess to clean up.

I really like it. It works without a little cup underneath it. I use my left hand to hold the egg in place and my right to pull the lever. It made my life easier in the morning. Now...there are 2 stickers one says made in japan and the other made it china...so not sure which is correct.

You will have to find the sweet spot. The amount of strength you use determines if the egg explodes in your hands (exaggerating) or having to do a couple of hits to break the shell if you raise your own and have thick outer layer

No instructions included. Just position on with the pointy egg up, position the round cup of the gadget on the point. Pull back hard on the handle and give a hard snap. Twist and remove top to expose the inside. dig in and enjoy. Or, use a knife to remove the round along the perforations

I'm not a big fan of unnecessary kitchen gadgets but this is a great little product. I was just introduced to soft-boiled eggs by a friend and they are my new favorite. But cracking them with a knife apparently requires better eye-hand coordination than I have. I would hit too hard or not hard enough. Invariably I would hit too low and then have the egg falling out and yolk running everywhere. This little tool takes care of all those problems. Simply set it on top of the egg, pull the 'knob' up and let it go. It creates a perfect crack in just the right place and makes breakfast a whole lot neater! :-)

I researched it and as long as you hold it with your non-dominant hand and then lift the top to let it hit as hard as it can, it's the best! Took two tries to get it right but after that, it's great!

This item didn’t come with instructions but it was really simple to figure out. You can’t hold the egg and open it so you’ll need a boiled egg cup or keep it in the carton

When I initially read the reviews on this product I misunderstood and thought that the device somehow cut the top of the egg off. In fact you pull back the "clacker" on top and it clatters into the lower bowl and creates a perfect crack around the top of the egg. I then use a spoon or butter knife to pull off that part of the shell off. I'm terrible with cracking eggs and constantly break the yolk or get pieces of shell in my eggs. No more! With this device I'm batting 1.000 on perfect egg cracks. It's saving me money after all the eggs I screwed up and ended up dumping in the trash. My wife legit made fun of me based on how amazed I was with this product (and she's laughing hysterically at this review). I'll never go back to manually cracking eggs again. I've had this for a few months and it's very sturdy as well. Very well made product. Can't recommend enough.

once you get used to this (doesn't take long) you will never crack an egg again without it even if you don't care if the yolk breaks. Great for kids too;it's fun

Hold the cone part of the egg cutter firmly on the egg and then lift the little hammer mechanism to make a clean cut on the shell. Use a knife to gently lift the top of the egg, add some salt and pepper and enjoy!
